Linda was speechless.
She was gaping at the ring in front of her turquoise eyes, the ring that caused her hyperventilating, and the glowing clear, watery substance that welled in her beautiful eyes as she stared down at it.
She waited for the words that Jack was about to say, waiting. Yet the moment never got boring, and as far as she knew it never would. She could stay in this trance forever, and ever.
Yet still waiting for the words that should soon come out of his mouth, just a moment maybe they would, but she knew that any second now…
Come on, just one more second.
Surely she would say yes, but when were they going to get married, they had the space mission to mars coming up very soon.
"Linda Cassidy Meyers, will you marry me?"
She didn't have to think about that, she already knew about that.
She stumbled on the words, nearly speechless. "Oh y-y-yes, I-I-I, Oh I would love to marry you Jack!" She wrapped her arm around him and hugged him tight.
"Good, how 'bout, when we get back from Mars, lets have a huge wedding, just you and I, and our dear ones around us."
The happily ever after was soon to come, or was it?
I suddenly fell asleep, and then drifted into an inhuman place. A place called the dream world, a world that only existed inside my mind. I drifted into a deep dark land that only existed in the dream world.
Everything was dull, unusual, and very frightening. I was walking in the night in the forest, and my watch said about midnight. I shuddered. I realized that I wasn't on earth, because, it's much darker than this at midnight on the real earth. It was so surreal.
All I was doing was walking when everything went dark. I don't know how long it was black, but it was certainly for over two hours. A sudden blinding light met my eyes, and it hurt really badly. It took a few minutes for me to recover, and only to find I was in a glass hospital room.
The extraterrestrial (or looked like it) that was in the video walked in the room. "We have a good use for you!" He says.
"What about Jonathon?"
"Oh don't worry about that, 'cause we got it all under control." A woman that looked just like me walked into the room with a huge smirk on her face.
"You guys have stuff to catch up on I believe" He left the room and left me to my clone.
"So", she said quickly. "Tell me about your little space-friend Jonathon King." …pause… "Don't leave a single detail out. Now tell me is he your boyfriend?"
For a while it was just Jonathon, but then clone-me came and then started to socialize.
She smiled and Jonathon looked confused. She must have called him hubby or something, not that I cared. I was enjoying this.
Clone-me started to creep toward him with sheer joy. He pushed her away, and she looked appalled. I smiled.
"What the hell was that?!" Then I made the mistake to laugh out loud, then alien stumbled across the room.
"What did you do?" he asked me.
"Oh nothing."
"Tell me now what the hell you told her!"
"I told him I was Jonathon's husband"
I laughed really hard and returned my attention to his face. He was infuriated.
His arms outstretched at me, he tackled me, but I kicked his ribs and heard them crack. He went across the room, shredding the glass, a pool of green blood formed. Yuck. I went over and stepped on his ribs hard. Crack! I checked the pulse. Nothing. I stepped down the hall looking for the exit and I was ready to kill whoever was in my tracks. I skipped a beat, when someone grabbed my shoulder and pulled.
I woke up, suddenly jolting upright, then thanked god that it was only a dream. Did this dream mean anything? Of course it didn't. Who the heck was Jonathon? Why did I, Trish Kent speak of him. Were these questions going to be answered?
Well time to go to bed again.
I am really tired. The dream was probably just a façade.
I had gotten a doctoral degree in Astronomy.
I worked at NASA, but I hadn't gone up into space yet though. But I new it was coming though, because I new I was smart, and I knew that they only picked the people that were ready for it, and I think I'm ready for the universe, the beautiful stars that get closer, and closer… I had trained and gotten ready for this my whole life, and now I know I'm ready for space. Good things come to those who deserve them, and I think I deserve this one. I can just see myself staring at the endless span. That could be me. I can already hear the artificial voice saying the countdown. The dream that had been mine I first learned about space. Maybe, someday that could be me. There is actually a chance that that could be me.
That's someday. Now is now.
Jonathon's eyelids shot open in a shot, two second after the boisterous alarm clock went ringing, thus disturbing his unconscious peacefulness. He yawned and stretched out his limbs, hearing a sharp cracking noise, surprisingly, this didn't hurt. He got up from his slumber, therefore cracking some more limbs, he just did this because he didn't want his limbs like this a portion of a day, then he would get an ache. He wasn't old though, he was only thirty-two, he was also a handsome single man, it wouldn't be long before he wasn't single, no longer a bachelor. That day would come.
Jonathon had worked at NASA for a couple of years now, and he knew, soon that he would go into space. He could see it coming very soon.
Very soon.
He thought about this as he undressed from his night shirt. And as he got his work clothes on, yes this day is coming soon.
"Very soon. That day is coming very soon, very, very, very, soon. I can feel it, deep down in my heart, someday." He was talking to himself again.
This was one of his soothing methods, telling himself a story that someday he Jonathon King would someday go into space
Someday.
Not today.
On a planet far from earth, aliens were at work, building a replica of the earth.
Clones of every human were made. No animals though. The clones didn't need to eat, because they were controlled by an intelligent orc-like extraterrestrial rules them, he implanted a chemical called immadrans, in the gene before the insertion of the egg. The clones are able to reproduce, and they also come along with testosterone and estrogen. They have beating hearts, working systems, but they are specially trained for war, and to be very clever, trained to be an alien themselves, succumbed to violence, used to constant pain. The eggs are big made from the aliens themselves, no reproduction, it is a certain material, the aliens have a more intelligent civilization then human, so they don't need reproduction to make an embryo. They are clever. When human goes in to space, they leave a presence, also everybody on earth, they can use that sense to get genes, they are far more intelligent. They were planning to raid earth any year now, and no one could find out, because they are far more inconspicuous. They already had a planet for it. A planet that had far more gravity than any other, it could draft more people in, they could see how the human body works. They new humans would soon discover the secrets that Mars held, but before that happened some of them would die. They would be the unfortunate human that would be the ones for it.
Lord Lamaar, of the star planet was frustrated.
"We will take over the pleasant planet, there will be no restrictions! The job must be done, every community must be taken care of, we have to take over the entire universe! Get that in that big ugly of yours. If you must know!" He yelled at alien before him, infuriated.
"I am sorry."
"Damn right you are!" The sad alien adjourned and left.
I walked along the hallway near my office, looking down.
I pushed my feet forward, my office wasn't all that far away. Something hard hit me, and the content in my arms fell.
I looked up to see a handsome man, and I apparently had bumped into him.
"I am so sorry, I am such a klutz," I said.
"No it was my fault," he exclaimed. "Hi my name is Jonathon King, what is your name?"
This is "Jonathon King" from my dream. Probably just a coincidence. "Trish Kent."
"It's very nice to meet you. Maybe I'll see you around. I am on my way to a meeting, and I am going to see you, if you come this way, because I am going to have this meeting every day for the next few weeks."
"My office is just around the corner; maybe you could come and see me sometime."
"My meeting is in twenty minutes; maybe I could come and see you now."
"Sure," and I lead him to my office.
My office was a rectangular cedar room, with two chairs and a desk about six feet in.
"I haven't seen you around before where is your office?" I asked him.
"It's on the other side of the building."
"Oh," I answered.
"You know what?"
"What?"
"You have the most beautiful eyes."
Was he hitting on me? "Thanks."
"Well you really do, they are the most brilliant shade of blue."
I was flattered. "So do you think you are going into space anytime soon?"
"Well I am hoping."
"Me too." I was beginning to think this dream that I had was true. There was a long pause before he spoke again.
"I was just wondering…?"
"Wondering what?"
"…are you free Friday night?"
"Umm…" I was checking the imaginary schedule in my head. "Yes."
"Would you want to go out to that Italian restaurant near the mall?"
"I'd love to."
"So it's a date."
"A date" I repeated.
"I guess I'll see you around."
I watched him as he left my office with a smile on his face; I waited until he was out of sight, for me to smile.
This day had been more productive than I thought it would be, yes this was a very good day. I patted myself on the back.
Days passed, and before you know it the clock gets ahead of you, you can see it speed past you in the hallway, time is nothing compared to the millions of years that we have ahead of us, so you might as well suck it up lay back and enjoy it. As Wednesday passed, excitement rose in my system, rising nearly till maximum level when Friday came by, as we walked on by each other he smiled and winked at me, heat blushed in my cheeks as he passed. After that the time seemed to slow down, the clock seemed to get tired, more tired, and sometimes I swear I was frozen. The minutes ticked by, Three-Thirty, Three-Thirty-One, it seemed to never end. Maybe the clock man had to go number Two. The date was at Seven, I still had three and a half hours until then. I knew it was at Seven because he had told me, "So I'll pick you up at Seven" so then I gave him my address, then he went to his meeting. I had learned that his meeting was to determine where to land on Mars when Linda Meyers and Jack Mason went on their journey up there, the very first time that earth had gone up to such a planet. Linda and Jack had gotten to be quite famous around NASA, even I have met them, this reminded me of high school when it there was a popular group, then a group of nobody's, I was a geek so I had pretty much accepted that I was not going to be in the premises of them. Linda and Jack were the basis of the popular group, because they were smart enough to go into space! Oh sorry lost my control a little bit. Times still passed slowly, even though I kept trying to keep my mind from the clock, I was upset about that. Bored, bored, bored; that’s the only way to describe this moment. I know this sounds dumb, but I just realized that I could go home. Yes, that's what I'll do. I can't believe that I just sat here for a couple of minutes just thinking, when I could just go home, he wouldn't pick me up here, I got out early, I guess I was just overwhelmed. Well that moment of deep thought is over now. Soon I would be on my home.
I picked up my coat and leaped out of my chair, and then I sprinted to the door to wrench the door open.
I had pulled one of my little dresses on, this one was slightly tinted shade of red. I checked my clock, and it the little finger was in between the six, and the big finger rested on the six; Six-Thirty, yes, perfect timing, then I carefully pulled on one of my turquoise tinted earrings on my ears and I was all set, I had already done my make-up a couple of times already; check; I had jewelry on me; check; I had a good looking dress on; check; and I had done my hair---I had it loose, so that was different then my regular bun---check.
Now I had to wait.
I waited for another twenty minutes when I heard the doorbell ring.
When the first human came up to Mars---which the thought would be very soon---the aliens would start the invasion, they now thought it would be weeks or days, when the earth people would make the decision to go up into space.
Yep, they had no doubt about it.
But right now Lord Lamaar was calm, not upset about the whole taking over the universe thingy, he was asleep.
His naked body was sprawled out upon the bed, arms reaching the outer sides, the blanket reached up to his waste. His facial features were tight rounded around the cheek and jaw bones. His nose is not like ours, it is just two plain nostrils, just sitting there as holes in the face about an inch apart, his eyes are closed shut, but the eye is a sharp edged, black ovals upon a rounded gold surface, it looked like a pattern upon the black skin; black, gold, black. His mouth was a set of yellow teeth, the four front fangs were baring, the low ones reached up to the plain nostrils, getting skinnier as they went up, and the high ones went down to the chin, some aliens complained about the pain that came with that, but not Lamaar, he was tough. He had no facial hair, but he wasn't bald, he had messed up hair that was short, it only went to the ear. Under his fangs there was a, I know something that you don’t, ha, ha, but he was having a dream, a very greedy dream;
Me, the Lord was ruler of the entire universe.
Little human were scurrying around, being all dramatized, and hoping I would set them free, little saps, what would they think would happen, aliens would never invade the earth, hell, they're little dumb-dumbs too.
I did not mourn these people one bit, but I bet they mourn themselves right now too.
They all burned, and in my opinion, they deserved this, because they weren't just burning, they were burning for the terrible things that they had done to this "earth" as they called it, I thing they didn't deserve to live, let alone live on earth. We were the only ones that deserved to live in this universe.
They probably thought they could get out of this someway, someday.
Well they were dead wrong, wrong like when they thought they were an intelligent species, they were barely civilized compared to us.
"Silence!" I called to them almost facetiously. Their burning eyes and bodies looked up at me scared to death, I then laughed until all there was left of they were ashes.
"Next! Almost six billion left to go!" I motioned my hand to the other people with handcuffs and ankle waits, the weeping was so loud I could hear it from where I sat, several hundred feet away, then I got a huge fanged smile on my face, I was happy right now, very, very happy.
He jolted upright in bed, and then was sad that the dream was over.
Jonathon is here, what do I do now? Thoughts like that were blasting around in my head like shooting stars; I wish a big black hole would come and suck them up like a vacuum.
Steps came excruciatingly, I kind of felt like I had RLS. When I came through the kitchen archway, I had a clear view of the door, I was nervous, because I hadn't done this dating thing in a while. I unwrinkled my dress and answered the door.
Jonathon stood there, he wasn't wairing a tux, but he still looked better than usual, total shock, streamed across his face as he saw me, too I thought I was beautiful when I looked into the mirror before.
"You look so beautiful! He said seriously, but the words were cut up with the shock of my dress.
"Thank you." I didn't say it high pitched or casual, it was kind of in between. I smiled as he escorted me to his car.
The lights of the Mall at night were fascinating, but if you would have thought that was something, you would love the Italian restaurant.
He escorted me from the car, over the cement, and onto the stairs that lead to the place, when we got to the door he held it open for me, and I was flattered by the whole thing.
He pulled the chair out for me with a smile on his face; it perked up to his nose, about four inches apart, the nose in the middle. I planted my bottom on it with a smile on my face, just like his.
This is the first time I really got a long look at his clothes. He had a waste high khaki jack, enclosing a stripped blue and black shirt, he had somehow, really appealing looking jeans on. He also wore a wonderful looking smile on his face (my favorite). I also just looked at his face. He had full cheeks, but his skin pulled over the cheekbone tightly. His nose looked like the plainest nose I've ever seen. He had the most beautiful eyes, the same thing he said about me, it was a greenish shade of blue. He had teeth the shade of eggshell, but it almost looks like snow, welcoming. This would be so fun.
The table was circular, set for two. We were alone in the windowless room, and the door was shut, he obviously made this happen, because, outside this room it was crowded, and they would just send people here. I flashed him a thankful smile, because, I didn't usually like being in a crowded room, he didn't know that though. Or did he? I might've let it slip once or twice.
But even if I had, why had he gone to this much trouble to be alone with me? I would feel bad for the rest of the time that we had together.
"I love this place," I commented, "I never had the chance to come here before, though, it must be new though, because I go to the mall every other week, and I've never seen this restaurant before, I am sorry that I have never seen this place though, because it's wonderful." I then looked to my right to admire the chandelier.
I fiddled with my hands in my lap, and I smiled as he answered. "Not nearly as beautiful as you are though." That’s a real perk up for me.
"Thank you!" I said with sheer pleasure, this is really fun, I wish I could pay for at least a little bit of it though, it's probably going to cost a fortune. "Jonathon, you look really handsome tonight, and you smell good too."
"So do you." He raised his eyebrow for dramatic effect; he then flashed one of his common smiles at me. "Pretty not handsome though." He corrected himself, before I was even the least bit appalled.
But sometimes when I get within feet of him, I get visions of the dream that I had a couple nights ago, I get chills in my spine every time it happens. I just feel danger every time I get closer to him, but it can be a good feeling sometimes.
* * *
I picked up the menu.
Under pasta I saw my favorite; Fettuccini Alfredo. I was really happy about that.
It was two minutes until the waiter came. "Are you folks ready to order your drinks yet, and, or, meals?' I had never heard that one before.
Jonathon nodded to me to order mine first. "I'll have the Long Island Ice Tea, and then I'll have the Fettuccine Alfredo, and could you take the garlic off and the Parmesan cheese on, please?" I'd said exactly that the second time I got it, I didn't want the all that green. I used to think it was yucky, so then they offered me cheese, and I'm always open to try something new, so I said yes, ah memories.
Jonathon smirked, "I'll have a Shirley Temple, and the Lasagna," after she left he said to me, "You gotta have a designated driver 'round here". Hey, I got to admit it, we do. That made me chuckle.
"I don't usually get drunk." I retorted, I was going to be tenacious on that one. It was still funny.
"NASA has new technology that tracks the ship, wherever you go." Krakauer said, almost bored. "If you get abducted by aliens, as if, you'll be tracked, and then it'll be the biggest science discovery ever!" he now said it with sarcasm. He sounded like he'd rather be awake during an open heart surgery.
He pointed to a diagram that had a spaceship and small print, it was such small print, that even Linda couldn't read it, even if she squinted really hard on it, it must have been twelve point.
"Are you ready, 'cause in two days you'll have to be." He said.
She swallowed, "yes".
The sun was bright in the city of Houston, Jack and his observed this as his fiancée Linda and he held hands, in between the seats in the space shuttle. They smiled at the sun, they would soon see it up close soon, the countdown started in less than two minutes.
This is what they have been waiting for their whole lives, or a large portion. Or was it?
Two minutes later they heard, "Ten."
They both gripped each others hand harder.
"Nine."
Jack felt sweat rolling down his throat, his stomach turned, he was just nervous. He looked over at Linda, she was looking at him, she was also nervous, she was chewing on her lower lip with her pearl white teeth.
"Eight."
He could start to feel wetness in the space between their hands, he was not disgusted. He looked over at her; he lowered his head so it was just inches from hers, and then planted a kiss on her lips with much force. "I love you." He inched his mouth from hers, slowly going pack to poise with professionalism at his seat.
"Seven."
"I love more." She said as she got back to her regular stance.
"Six."
"Here it comes," Jack said."
"Five"…"Four"…"Three"…"Two"….
"My whole life…"
"One."
"…I have been waiting for this moment." And the ship went into the air.
The sun cuddled in the sky like a baby in a blanket, the baby had shown its shiny skin onto the city of Houston. Jack Mason watched this as he flew out of the troposphere, and into the stratosphere, he loved space and everything about it; he loved the endless span of absolutely nothing but meteors, asteroids, stars and planets.
The bright rays amazed him, and the best of all he just wanted to jump out of the spaceship and take a place in the clouds and go to sleep in the fluffiness, but, he knew that if he did that, he would just fall through and land on the ground uneasily, this was by far his favorite part of the trip.
His suit weighed about fife hundred pounds on earth, but when you got out of the atmosphere it would weigh less than one hundred pounds. The suit of where the breast pocket is supposed to be had the NASA seal imprinted on it, with the American flag on the right side if you looked at it.
His job on the rocket was to control half of what the rocket needed in embellishment. His fiancée Linda worked on the other half.
Now in the mesosphere they felt excitement grow in there insides.
Both in the cock-pit they both got a good view through the large window, into the atmosphere.
When they got in the ionosphere they got really excited, because after this long layer in the atmosphere, they would reach the exosphere, which technically means exit.
"I'm really exited", Jack screeched. "How about you!"
She answered with a light, "Yes", even though she was nervous, she wasn't really lying, she was excited.
"Well there is no more turning back now", Jack said. Johnston gulped, but then forced a fake smile that even a blind man could point out. "Unless we blow up." Which didn't help her case at all. "Look I know you're nervous, it's very noticeable, you don't have to hide it because I'm a little nervous myself. So we will just have to stick it out for the rest of the time, okay."
"I know", she agreed sadly. She forced back some tears and then thought, don't be a coward.
The computer screen in the both of them clicked on, showing the person that had given them their jobs, that they now regret excepting. He had a pale face with a ton of wrinkles, his name was Johnny Krakauer.
"How's your ride been going?" He asked.
"Fantastic, we are just entering the exosphere!" Jack said. Even though nothing really had gone smoothly.
"Great time", Krakauer replied.
Before Jack could reply he heard boisterous sound. It was a loud thump coming from inside the ship.
"Honey", Jack said. "What the hell was that?"
"I've no clue", she answered.
"Could you go and check?" says Jack. She agreed and so she got up, shivering. She seemed to be dizzy, and now she looked at the cockpit in an entirely different way. Unsteadily she walked, through the small chamber.
She opened the door a crack, and then took a glance around, nothing. This small room was a metallic corridor, about five feet high, and about three and a half feet in width, and it was about ten feet in length. Her feet crept along the corridor as she went along.
When she came to the end of the corridor, she opened the door and the saw something she never thought she would ever see.
In Houston Krakauer saw the screen, and then he noticed that Mason had a worrisome look on his face. The scream of Linda Meyers was a subtle sound in the distance, so subtle enough so that Krakauer could not hear, but just enough so that Mason could hear it.
"Mason, what's wrong, Mason?"
"Something is terribly wrong!"
"Mason, what's terribly wrong." Then, Krakauer heard the door open. All of a sudden, a light brown hand, with very long fingers closed over Jack's Mouth. Jack's eyes closed as this happened, as did Krakauer's. "Mason! Mason! Where are you? Mason!"
Then Krakauer saw the back of the creature, its epidermis was shiny with slime, and horns towered over his head. Krakauer gasped in fright. He then started to mutter curses under his voice.
I tossed and turned in bed as I fought for sleep, but I didn't want to go to bed yet, I wasn't tired. The bed covers brushed up against me, as I tossed one more time.
I opened my eyes to see the dull ceiling above me, I then shrugged viciously at it, why was it such a turndown? I glanced aside, to catch a glance at the alarm clock, it said ten-thirty. I turned on my side.
Two minutes later I fell asleep.
I glared into Jonathon's eye, and I felt nearly feverish with romance. His face was inches from mine, and the only sound was a bird chirping in the distance. There wasn't anything around us, accept a burning fire, but that was tuned out.
His face closed in on mine, inch by inch, until there were no inches in between. I could feel force, and I forced back at him. I wrapped my hands around his waste, and trace my right hand to the spine, then up to his skull; his hair was almost like silk on my buttery hands.
The force was pushed harder as I leaned up against him, and I pushed him to the ground, my left hand on his hair, I started to feel a sharpness jutting out of the skin, and I could feel it cutting into my skin.
I quickly jumped off him I could now see that he was an alien. "What's wrong, honey?" He asked, showing a large set of fangs.
I screamed.
"AAAHHHHH!" I was still screaming from the dream when I nearly jumped in the air. I was gasping air as I stared at the wall in my apartment. I looked askance to the clock to see that it was five-twenty-seven.
Then I got up and went over to the door into the hall, so I could take a shower.
I was reading the paper, when the phone rang.
I reached my hand out to the phone and answered it.
"Hello?" I said to whoever was on the other line, I hadn't bothered to look at the caller ID, but I thought it might be Jonathon.
"Beatrice?"
"I prefer Trish, and who is this?"
"NASA."
"NASA? Why are you calling?"
"There's been an accident."
"Wha…?"
"Something abducted Linda and Jack's spaceship."
"What the hell happened?"
"Only one person saw it, but he's barking mad."
"May I ask who this is?"
"Analisa Smith."
"Why are you calling?"
"We want you to go up there to investigate the scene."
"Really?!"
"Yes, you will be going up there with Jonathon King." Jonathon!
"When?"
"In a week." A week?
"Wow."
Linda lye there, like a sack of potatoes.
Where was Jack?
She examined the area around her. She was in a rectangular room, she estimated about, ten-by-twelve room, give or take. There was a door, she wasn't conscious enough too see where, it was six feet away from her, closed, she didn't want it opened any time soon. She was hungry; she hadn't eaten since she had breakfast, how long ago had that been. She didn't know how long she had been unconscious, she estimated three hours, but it was probably longer.
The color was navy green, it nearly blended in with the door, but then the door changed color, it changed to navy blue.
"Hello Linda Meyers, we've been waiting for a long, long time for you." A muffled voice came.
* * *
By four o clock, they had the information they need.
They would rule the universe. No one could do anything about it, they would, but if earth did something, maybe they could prevent something.
It might not be inevitable.
Or it might be.
You don't know.
We could prevent this.
Knock, knock. I heard someone at the door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Jonathon!" He answered.
"Coming!"
I went to the door, from my bedroom, I was dusting the chest on the far wall away from my bed. I opened it, and I saw his anxious smile as it flew open.
"Here the news?" He asked.
"Yep," I answered his question. I flashed him one of my smiles.
"Can I come in?" He asked. What time is it? It really depends.
"Sure," I answered.
"Ugh, damn I'm hungry!" Where's Jack?
Linda had been carried into yet another room, and Jack wasn't in there. She was dumped onto the floor, and now she had a pain in her waste. Everything was blurry, so all she saw was changing colors.
She groaned a couple times, just to see the door change into a couple different colors standing in front of her. Then the navy blue had approached her waste, making it hurt more, she had felt her waste, and found that the cut was open, she hoped it wouldn't get infected, but it probably would.
Muffled voice came to her ears, and all she could here was gibberish. She thought that it might be a secret language of some kind, but then that thought slipped.
She threw up once, but she used some of her spare energy to move away from it. Her mouth wasn't duct-taped, her arms weren't tied behind her back, but somehow she couldn't move. She must have been drugged or something, because, she had fallen asleep a couple of times, enough for a nights worth. And she didn't fell sleepy, so they must've drugged her. That was one powerful drug, her fighting against would be worth crap.
That dreadful morning, when they got astronaut-napped, what she saw, it was hard to think about it. When she peeked out the door, she saw a muscular, pitch-black toned, she had screamed. She could see herself mirrored behind the glass of the pupil. She could see, diabolical black slits, in the middle of the gold eye.
She felt death, misery, disconsolate fates. Of human.
Human.
Us.
She could nearly hear his thoughts. Kill. Death. Hell. You suck. You meaningless human. Damn you! We shall live. You must die. She had burst into a crying scream, as he smiled. She could hear the gasp of Jack. She could picture his face. His mouth perked down as a frown. His eyes would widen, and then he would start to breath in gasps.
The gasps stopped, and she could hear mauling of cloth. The door was wrenched open. She saw the alien drag Jack by the mouth all the way to the blackness of the spacecraft.
Then he came to her next….
Now she was in a hellhole, in god---no, probably not him---only knew where. Her body was sprawled across the floor, her arms on the left, and the right one about six inches above the other. The open cut was on top, getting air---and bacteria. Her legs were on top of each other, and they cramped. She had a look of pain on her face, like an; I'm going to die in thirty minutes sort of face.
Dry tears stained the pear-toned face. Her beautiful eyes were dilated. She looked nearly blind.
The room looked like an army janitors closet, it had navy green metal walls, and that was the only detail of the room, it was very dull. The floor was the same thing, and very uncomfortable.
"Uuuuhhh," she groaned again.
The door changed color again, she expected pain in her side in any second, but nothing came, she closed her eyes again, bared for the worst, but she was just dragged, she passed out.
Dreamless, violent sleep.
Nothing, blackness.
Barely even black.
She didn't even know time was passing. The clock ticked, as she lay there, being dragged, in which she was drugged.
But in her slumber, her energy quickened, busted up at an alarming rate. Invincibility rose inside her system, up until she was fully invincible.
Hours past, she was just unconscious…
"Umm, oh, ack!" Linda yelled.
"You are going to wake up now." A chilling voice rang in her ears.
She shot up like a silver bullet, killing a Werewolf. "Wha… Wha… Wha wazzat?" Linda asked. "Who… who areou?" She added.
"We are invading earth, and we will use you to be our little rat for all the testing, now, isn't that just wonderful!"
"No is just terribool!"
"I was just saying it's wonderful for us, because, we will experience human pain, and this is the first step of taking over the entire universe!"
"So I knew eet, ou are i awien."
"You are invincible." He said calmly. "But if you betray us, you will eventually fade away, until you're dead."
"Ayers Jack?" I asked him.
"Oh, that little boyfriend you have, he's gone to a better place."
"OOOHH NOOO!" Not Jack!
"What the… what's your problem, Little Lady! We just sent him to another planet!"
"Tell me now, where you sent him."
"Someday you'll know, but not today.
"You see Little Lady, you're going to die, you were just, simply… unlucky enough, to be one of the two, little scampering human, who that stupid company NASA, that think they are so smart, hired, so suck it up.
"Is death really all that hard to accept?"
Uh yeah.
Jack wasn't dead.
He lay in a hole, just waiting there, dazed. Everything was blurry, but he wasn't tired. The hole was so big that he could barely see the top.
When they brought him here, the bottom served as an elevator, to bring him down. He remembered him struggling against them.
He remembered this:
He had been dragged by his mouth across the metallic corridor, and into the room, where he saw Linda screaming wildly. He gave her a sympathizing look, but a lying look, they were toast.
Jack had blacked out from there on.
He had dreamed of nothing, it was weird. Very weird. That was all he remembered.
His dazed thoughts were interrupted by a light at the top of the hole. It was a twister, or at least it looked kind of like one.
It was blue and pink, flying in sync toward him; he started to fell a force, like an up-side-down gravity pull, pulling against him. He was lifted off the ground, and he was sucked in.
It was like millions of curly cues, but enough to make you dizzy.
The next thing he knew, he was flopped down on the ground.
Hard.
"Ahh, your boyfriend has gotten to your destination I see."
"Tell me where." Linda had gotten more alive in the past few minutes.
"You just may never, ever see him again that's all I'm telling you."
"Does he have a power, like me?" She said with rage. Linda swallowed down the urge to shriek at this alien.
"Why yes he does."
"What is it?"
"That is not in my pow…"
"Tell me NOW!"
"I'll tell you again…"
"Violate the damn rules! Is it really all that different…?"
"Look Little lady! It is in my power to hurt you, and if you don't shut little yap of yours, than I will put you to sleep!"
"Yeah right I doubt…!" Her voice was interrupted by a needle, put in her arm.
